On the 23rd November Ellie MacDonald (Chair), Sonja Crisp (Vice Chair) and myself travelled to Brussels to attend the first AGM of the European Alliance of Restless Legs Syndrome (EARLS)

RLS-UK/ESA is growing fast and your support group requires additional committee members, are you able to answer the call? Initially you would only need to attend the meetings, there are approximately four a year.
The group would be able to reimburse your travelling expenses; it is your time that we are asking you to donate. Into Europe - the launch of EARLS
The launch of the European RLS group, EARLS, took place in Brussels in November 2009. The UK group’s co-ordinator, Bev Finn, and chairperson Ellie Macdonald met representatives of the other founding member countries in Brussels to select a board to represent the group. They also met Dr. Karl E, Ekbom, whose father first described RLS in 1945. Delegates then spoke to MEPs.
